    so i've heard things about illuminati, my fellow muslims spit this group a lot when something bad happened. what is illuminati exactly? i would like to know from ex-muslims point of view  grin12

    and what do you think about conspiracy theorist in general? are they mentally ill?

    Some of them are just bored. Others were raised to be paranoid or suspicious like that by crazy families/ideologies/atmospheres, something that fosters an "us versus them" attitude. That said, if I were a betting man, I'd put money on whatever random theorist you bring me being mentally unwell.

    On a serious note. I really do think that believing wholeheartedly in the 'illuminati' and all kinds of conspiracy theories, is a mental illness or at least, it could lead to mental illness.
    muslims have to live in a kind of 'schizophrenic' existence and thought process. Many things point to islam being one way whereas they are told not it's the other way, so the only outlet to explain this is - conspiracy theories.
    There's a difference between believing in conspiracy theories and having healthy skepticism. "When you hear hoof beats, don't think zebras."
    Having a thought process where everything is a conspiracy theory would eventually lead you to making every wrong decisions in life,  like accusing your family of doing black magic on you, etc.

    I love Civil War. In my opinion the single greatest comic book event since 'House of M', if not better, I loved it. We are talking about the same thing aren't we? The Superhero Registration Act which pitted Team Captain America versus Team Iron Man. I think Michael Bendis stated that he wanted to parallel real world events i.e. War on Terror and he did it in the most spectacular fashion.

    Watchmen is definitely the best comic of all time. I would put Dark Phoenix Saga at second, The Killing Joke at third, Civil War at fourth, and House of M at five.
