I thought that it was exclusively East London until I learnt that others are guility of it.

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

i think it's to do with south asian and english accents being bound into one, proving to be quite harsh to listen to in my opinion

Yeah it's more noticable in Pakistanis, Indians ,Bengalis and the like, probably due to how Urdu,Hindi and Bengali
    are structured.

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

I get that a lot too, when I'm home. But, when I was at Uni, they all thought that I have a really strong Northern accent  Grin

Probably, I didn't realise I had an accent to begin with.

    I'm from Manchester...

Theres a lot of debate in this country around which is the second city in the UK, some say Birmingham, others disagree.

But us folk in Manchester know that we are in the first city  Cheesy

Stay in London, make day trips around England from there. Manchester is an OK city but visit other places like Oxford, Cambridge, down to the bohemian gay capital of Britain on the south coast, Brighton, or even make a trip up to Edinburgh, Scotland.

Having said that, you could spend all your time in London and still not have seen and experienced 1% of what that city has to offer  Smiley

Some of the towns and villages in the midlands and the north are so incredibly beautiful, and such different places than London, Manchester etc. Ancient buildings, mazes of side streets and alleyways, cobbled streets, absolutely lovely and much more laid back.

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Woo London is awesome! I've been up north a few times and it's such a nice change compared to the hustle and bustle of London. Has anyone been to Scotland? The highlands is so incredible!
