    anyway  this thread appears to be playing games.. and this appears to  be   a good game for folks who has  lots of free time.

    My daughter has all her nails painted, now. She doesn't even know what wudhu is, never mind that the polish negates it. Living large, getting through the list!

    I think Mo thought The End was like, around the corner... and probably didn't know/understand/take into account how big our planet was... so the fact that customs change and spread over time was not taken into consideration. I dyed my hairblack as Muslim, right before I apostated. Is allah going to burn me in hell because of little black hair color? Roll Eyes

    well because god apparently cares what color your hair is, yes. Though the prophet thought it was fine and dandy though  Cheesy

    Not in any particular order

    1. Take piano lessons and encourage my kid to do the same. Actually LEARN how to play the piano.

    2. I am fairly clumsy, cannot sing or dance. But I WILL try to learn, and therefore find a choir/singing group to join and sign me up for dancing classes. Perhaps salsa or tango.

    3. Cook a nice dinner and share a bottle of good wine with the women in my family, on a regular basis. Perhaps try to mend the bonds that have been torned (not because of me, our family has always been disfunctional).

    4. Fall madly in love with a beautiful woman, preferrably someone who feels the same for me.

    5. Express myself more freely with my clothing. No more restricted to niqab outside and maxiskirts and dresses in front of others. Buy a good pair of pants for the first time in 10 years.

    6. Find a really good guy and be best friends with him. I miss my old guy friends :(

    7. Find good new friends who love me for who I am, and not what I am.

    1. Go to the movie theater
    2. Listen to music in my home
    3. Learn to play an instrument
    4. Swim or simply enter a swimming pool
    5. Cut my hair short
    6. Have any physical contact with a male
    7. Have a one-night stand
    8. Pet a dog
    9. Own a dog
    10. Drink alcohol
    11. Try any haram foods (eg. Bacon, ham)
    12. Go to a rave
    13. Go to a bar
    14. Burn my hijabs and abayas
    15. Get a tattoo
    16. Buy and wear a pair of short-shorts
    17. Travel by myself

    The list is truly endless!

    mia, you're really going to enjoy going to the movie theatre! I swear I spend every weekend there. And congrats, three! I think the muslimah walk is ingrained in my bones.

    I would like to add traveling and traveling solo (no mahram required!). Really can't wait to leave so I can travel. I've only been to a few states and only ventured out of the country to visit east Africa and the middle east. I'm ready to go to Europe and New York and Florida and Japan and China and so on. I just want to go on a plane ride and not have it last over six hours.

    I want to go to the beach without wearing a big black abaya and hijab - nothing more awkward than swimming with that.

    I want to go on a date.

    I want to own my own place.

    I want to be independent (also not allowed in Islam!).  dance

    Writing all this gets me excited for the future. Hurry up already and get here, please!

    Oh that is a nice link. I remember doing all that. Yes, when you walk, you should not roll your hips.
    But I have seen a lot of Arabi ladies stomping around, not rolling their hips, but sort of attacking the ground with their feet while they move forward. This link mentions it as being intentional during Jahiliyah. I don't think it is entirely abandoned.

    Meh... maybe I thought about the way I walked, talked and acted in the beginning of my conversion but the last couple of years I couldn't have cared less. I think that my straighforward, outgoing and sometimes flirtatious personality does not fit well with the way I dress. Maybe that's why I get surprised stares both from Muslims as well as non-Muslims...hmmmm  whistling2
