     OP - November 12, 2012, 10:46 PM

    Hello
I'm a danish convert or I rather say ex muslim..I'm at a turning point, but I find it difficult to say it out loud. I think it is very easy to become a muslim but it is fare more difficult to become an ex muslim. I have come to the conclusion that islam is nothing but a mad mans work but I use a lot of time confirming that my conclusion is right (youtube, google etc).
After 8 years as a muslim I have build my identity around islam and i have a big social network in the muslim community. I try to stay away from the community as much as possible, but I live in the area and I still wear the hijab and the abaya. Now I'm at the point where I'm just keeping the facade, I'm even keeping this facade among non muslims. I'm happy that i found this forum. It gives me the opportunity to "say it out loud"

Hope my english is understandable Wink

Welcome Asiya. I went to an Islamic College where I witnessed many non-Muslim teachers converting to Islam.
I only know one that remained Muslim, and I still see her occasionally.

When the other teachers converted, we had multiple Friday sermons about how they found the great Islam, and they told stories about how they felt Allah and cried in their prayers and so on.

There was a strong community emphasis on their conversions, so all eyes were on them. As a community, we were told to invite them and include them in anyway we could.

In the end, a few secretly became apostates, deleted all their internet profiles and moved to different states.

Good luck and welcome far away hug

Welcome! I too started to feel that way especially after spending time on that devil's tool- the internet!  grin12 Richard Dawkins, Matt Dillahunty and the late Christopher Hitchens are some of the people I look up to very much.

Yes it's very hard to grin and bear it in silence and try to appease friends and family. At least we have this forum and I hope you enjoy it here!  far away hug

    More innovation!

If uncle mo is the final prophet and the koran the final perfect word, surely no Muslim should use anything invented after the 600's?
