     OP - April 09, 2014, 10:49 AM

    Hi everyone,

I’m currently doing a feature-article on the lives of secret ex-Muslims.
I’ve already got quite a bit of interview material on this, but I’m looking for more.
I’m especially keen to interview more women in the closet.
If anyone is willing to speak to me about their experiences (whether you live in the UK or elsewhere), please PM me either here on this forum or here: s.cottee@kent.ac.uk
    Obviously, anonymity will be guaranteed.
By the way, this should be out in November: http://www.hurstpublishers.com/book/apostates/
I’ll be sending advance copies to everyone I interviewed.

    Best wishes,
    Simon Cottee

So is the book coming out in november going to be available in any physical bookstores by any chance ?

like indigo chapters etc or mainly online ?

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

    Hi Simon,
Love the book cover and intro. Afro
Can't wait for it to be published!

Regarding the article you are writing, I hope more interviewees from this forum contact you to speak about their experiences.

Thanks everyone for these comments and for helping. I’m just about to pm some people.
The book will be out in hard copy in November – not online, but in actual stores.
Hurst & Co are very cool. They’re a commercial press, but with scholarly interests. They also publish all of Olivier Roy’s stuff, so it’s great to be in his company.

Will it be available in Kindle?

This looks like the kind of book that could be very significant indeed.

great stuff Simon. May be an idea to confirm the availability of the work on Kindle with the publisher. Not just because its how many people like to read books in general these days, but because it will be a way for Exmuslims or doubting Muslims in the closet to read the book without bringing suspicion on themselves by having a hard copy in their home or risk getting it opened by a family member when the post man delivers it from Amazon.

Yes! That is the perfect method for me.  I buy books like people buy drugs.

In person, discreet, and cash only.

I can't even purchase the kindle or whatever on-line because my parents read both my credit card bills and and my online banking records.

I just prefer a book in my hands.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
