I remember somebody telling me that the "khusras" or "hijras" are people who were born with male and female sexual organs. But that can't be the case. You see them everywhere and there aren't that many people who are born with male and female sexual organs. Are they eunuchs or transvestites or transexuals?
Hermaphrodites.
Female to Male hermaphroditism can occur from turners syndrome (if I have remembered the correct name), Male to female hermaphroditism can occur from androgen insensitivity (lack of production of male hormones).
The XX female chromosome can develop fully as a 100% male if the Sex Determining Region of the Y chromosome (SRY region) gets cut and placed onto an X chromosome during meiosis, and similarly, 100% XY females can develop from deletion of the SRY region on a Y chromosome.
Full deletion / duplication of the whole region is very rare though, in most cases only some of the genes are deleted or duplicated leading to partial hermaphroditim.
Also possible is full chromatid replication - XXY, XYY, and even rarely more X and Y chromatids.
XXY = Female with male parts,
XYY = Male with extra androgen production which causes aggression and anger problems.
The proportion of XYY men in prison is many many times higher then the proportion of them in normal society.

Oh, and sexuality is not controlled by the X or Y gene, the professional scientific opinion is that both gender and sexuality are completely seperate to one another, you can have any gender along with any sexuality. You can also be born a certain gender, but believe you are the other one (transexuality), yet you still may be attracted to either men or women.
The worlds most famous female to male transexual is Buck Angel (Porn actor so careful if you google this - I WATCHED HIS DOCUMENTARY), he was born a very attractive straight female and attracted to men who got plenty of modeling work, yet was a transexual to the point where she desperately wanted a sex change to a man or was going to kill herself. She underwent the whole transformation of her body to a male, yet decided to keep her female genitals.
He / She then changed from being a normal model to a niche one of a kind porn actor.
I studied sex for too long. Seriously, it was real study with exams and essays and presentations about penises and vaginas, plus everything in between o.O.
