Of course anyone who hasn't seen "The Life of Brian" should be shot - I practically know the whole thing by heart. I quoted a bit at the BBQ and some didn't recognise it - Blasphemy!  finmad

    Jesus Camp.
It doesn't have any commentary on religion, it's just a footage of a certain Christian youth camp.
Doesn't need any critical commentary to make it look bad.

Have you heard the good news? There is no God!

Not satire, but definitely exposes some aspects of Islam:

    The Stoning of Soraya M.

I can't find a good clip of the stoning scene, but it is very powerful. As a Muslim, it was common to hear about stoning as a punishment, usually for adultery. But I never really stopped to think about what stoning actually meant. It wasn't until the first time I saw a video of a stoning that I realized how violent, calculated and barbaric it is. It's not like someone deals a violent, fatal blow in the height of anger. It's a group of people working together to dig a hole, tie someone up, put them in and bury them, then all standing around in a circle hurling rocks at the person's head and watching them bleed and die slowly.

The film also shows how the rules Islam sets in place supposedly to "protect" women actually allowed a man to get away with murdering his wife.

Whilst the central themes of the film aren't about religion 'The Ledge' n 'Paul' make some good points about the preposterous nature of religion

    Blackadder 1 and 2

Blackadder 1 is pretty bad, 2, 3 and 4 are works of genius. Seen each episode, around 15 times or so.

Life of Brian is hereby fard for atheists, fard (collective) on humanity. Just a few fav scenes:

It's incredbile how most of the roles are seemlessly played by just 3 actors.

One of my favorites is the Invention of Lying

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0c_-I2cLbo

if someone is going to mention dogma though, on that style but with guns and angel massacres, Legion was a pretty fun film. Little confusing, but it seems Michael kicks all the other angel's asses especially that brown nose Gabrial. Then he  smacks god up side the head or something and tells him to not be a jerk after tricking him with some loophole...and god gets punked out.... Dumb ridiculous movie but fun

The Man From Earth was interesting. Invention of Lying is worth a watch.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
