I was in Germany just after reunification.  Firstly they clearly knew they had a common history, next they had an impressive vision of a just ecological society.  Comments about Israel's homes having 90% solar panels and the freedoms to be gay show they already understand and are practising what matters.

The Muslim world, with an Egyptian spokesman for Muslim Brotherhood stating they would introduce sharia and if people did not stop stealing of course they would have their hands chopped off is the problem.

Israel is the obvious leader for the region.

Amusingly, I remember when kibbutzim were seen as the socialist future!

Actually it shows they are a wealthy and technologically-advanced country with very limited access to power from fossil fuels, hydroelectric, or wind power (except maybe some wind farms in the Negev, not sure), but plenty of sun since they're in the fuckin desert. A wealthy and technologically-advanced country because an even wealthier and more technologically advanced country props up both its domestic, and, more importantly, its military spending, so it can continue to defend its stolen land from the former inhabitants and their allies and can continue to steal more limited arable land as their demographics continue to demand expansion.

Yeah, they would make a great leader for the Middle East-- not like they're dependent on an imperial power thousands of miles away for their continued existence, or viewed with suspicion, resentment and outright hatred by their neighbors. And I'm sure it will be easy enough to reverse those negative feelings because they are so eager to stop stealing land from Arabs, give them full human rights, and make peace. Also, not like the other Middle Eastern countries aren't run by a bunch of self-interested, sectarian, bigoted, brutal, shamelessly opportunistic tyrants. Yeah sounds like a great plan. Good luck with that shit.

The far left solution of regional proletarian revolution uniting the Levant seems pragmatic in comparison with this suggestion

At least the average citizen in Israel is more open to religious freedoms.
A video from a reality TV show where two actors. One a woman in hijab goes to get coffee and the other actor the cashier refuses to sell her coffess because she is Arab. Most if not all the customers defended her said that that's not right in "this country"

Now if that was a Jewish woman in many other Islamic countries, I wonder how many Muslims would defend her? The countries where people truly act out and support religious freedoms are truly gems, and are on the right path.

Yes, this has been posted before. But you can't really take a staged TV show like this and take it as serious research into the issue. For one thing, this may have been done in a particularly liberal neighborhood, as opposed to say, a neighborhood with a bunch of ultra-Orthodox/Hasidim. For another we have no idea what footage got left out of the final cut.

I dunno. I think it would depend where it happened. I'm sure reactions would vary depending on where it was set up. Again, I think if you had staged this show in a Jewish neighborhood in Hebron you would have gotten MUCH different reactions-- that is, if they even let the woman in. I used to know a Palestinian-American guy who had an Israeli try to sic his dog on him for no reason other than that he was an Arab in a Jewish neighborhood until he held up his blue passport.

I take it from Yeez's post that you have misunderstood his position, Q.

There is no positive spin to put on his clearly stated position that if inhabitants of X who are Y religion want to be permitted to stay in X then they must leave Y and possibly convert to A and B. Using variables because you can stick any religion or place in there and it would be equally morally objectionable. Regardless of whatever specifics he wants to elaborate on it is clearly a reprehensible position that views people as having no right to either their religion or the land they inhabit if they are a particular religion.

    1. You are saying that in order for Muslims to live on their homeland they must convert. This makes you fucking scum and no different than the Muslims who demand the same thing of people in areas they have control over.

    2. Many of the Arabs in Jerusalem and elsewhere in Israel are Christian and they get fucked by the Israelis as much as the Muslims. I've brought this up to you several times but each time you refuse to acknowledge it and instead go on one of your half-baked nonsensical yeezevee rants.

Hmm That one word is very important with reference to the history of that land of  Prophets..
