Have you read, "The unbearable lightness of being"?

Good novel, with a poignant message  Afro  I read it at a time that I was doing a similar thing, trying to rid myself of life's baggage, only to realise I missed it later.

I love it when you're in a large protest with thousands of other people and march all day and look around and realize that you've taken over the city and there's a sense of love and solidarity all around and you've formed unspeakable bonds with people you just met, and then you get arrested and your human rights violated but deep down you're still in unity with all the inmates and your spirit is still strong and you'll be together no matter what, and then you get transferred to a cell with another friend and you hug and make sure you're all alright, then you're released and see dozens of people waiting for you, making sure you have food and a place to stay, and someone you had just met a couple of hours ago gives you his bedroom and clothes, buys you dinner and the next morning makes you breakfast and drives you around looking for where you need to be. That really was the best experience I've ever had.

Howcome we have so much in common?

One thing I loved about Argentina is that they used lattices covered with grapevines as enclosed walkways to their house.  So when I went to knock on someone's door there was always shade and in the fall fresh grapes to pick off the lattices while we waited.  I love harvest time too. So much food everywhere.

Being so taken by a book I'm reading that I almost miss my bus stop.

Cold showers before going to bed on a hot summer night.

Physical and emotional intimacy with someone special.

When I'm listening to music on shuffle and suddenly one song comes on that... makes sense with the current situation. I'm sure you know what I mean.

    Quaint country pubs

+1 - I know a great one in Lancashire, that Gordon Ramsey visited, threw all their victorian overly fussy plates in the tip,  and taught them how to cook the perfect roast.

I LOVE thunderstorms period!  Afro   Had a wild one last evening and one
whipping up right now.   Love to snuggle during a thunderstorm, and the
rain, too.  I sleep so well when its raining.

Working on an essay non-stop (procrastinating) and hours later holding the printed version in your hand

The feeling you have when you know you should really be working but waste your time anyway

trying not to care, and almost believing it Smiley

the feeling of freshly shaven legs

connecting with another person for even an instant
